WeTheNorth login — the safe way in
The official login pages are: the onion address (Tor Browser, recommended) and the mirrors wtnmarket.ru, wtnmarket.net, wtnmarket.store. Any other page showing a WTN login form is suspect.
Creating your account — the five-minute version
- Open the onion address in Tor Browser (or a mirror if you accept the visibility trade-off).
- Register with a username that has no connection to your real identity and a passphrase used nowhere else.
- Enable 2FA immediately — settings → security → two-factor authentication with an authenticator app.
- Add your PGP key if you have one; generate one if you are serious about this.
- Write the recovery mnemonic on paper. Not in your phone notes, not in your email drafts.
Everyday logins
Start from your bookmark, verify the address bar, enter credentials, approve the 2FA prompt. Thirty seconds. The single most valuable habit: logins begin at your bookmark bar, not at a search engine, not at a link someone sent. Search-engine results for "wethenorth market login" are a phishing minefield precisely because that is what everyone types before logging in.
When login fails
Check 1 — the address (always first)
Is the address bar exactly the onion URL or one of the three mirrors? If there is any doubt, open a verified address and try there. A phishing page will reject valid credentials all day — it already has what it wanted.
Check 2 — the 2FA clock
Codes live 30 seconds. On a slow Tor load, yesterday's code is today's rejection. Take a fresh one and submit quickly.
Check 3 — the passphrase
Password managers eliminate this class of failure. If you type manually, watch for caps and adjacent keys.
Check 4 — the circuit
If the page will not load at all: Tor menu → "New Tor circuit for this site". See the status page for the full outage triage.
If you suspect you were phished
- Open the verified onion address now.
- Change the passphrase before doing anything else.
- Withdraw the wallet balance to your own crypto wallet.
- Review 2FA and active sessions.
- Report the fake domain on the forum.
Phishers automate the drain — minutes matter more than pride.
